PERFORMANCE SPACE NEEDED FOR PUBLIC PUPPET SHOWS
& PRIVATE BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Drawbridge Puppet Theater is currently looking for a performance space for our public puppet shows and private birthday parties. There are specific requirements necessary in order for us to use the space. These are:
*A quiet area that can also be darkened (at least partially) during performances.
*Room to fit a stage that measures 10′ to 12′ in height, 18′ in width, and 11′ in depth.
*In addition to the stage, space to accommodate an audience of at least 50 people.
*Rest room facilities
*Heat and AC
*Parking spaces for 25 to 30 vehicles.
*Affordability: the cost would need to be within a range that allows our business to make a reasonable profit.
Drawbridge Puppet Theater has been in business for 34 years. We’ve accumulated a loyal following and a solid artistic reputation. By providing a performance space for our family puppet shows you’ll not only have a tenant that is reliable and responsible, but one that provides your establishment with quality entertainment, positive publicity, and genuine community goodwill. And for those venues, in particular, that serve food or refreshments (pizza, snacks, ice cream etc.) we can guarantee a theater full of hungry, happy customers.
Help make Drawbridge Puppet Theater more successful
– and earn money doing it!
The Drawbridge Theater is currently looking for people who’d like to find us additional venues for our traveling shows. These venues could be schools, libraries, fairs, summer camps, any location that might be in need of a professional puppet production. The shows offered will be our full 45-minute marionette or hand puppet productions. The show choices, as well as space requirements, will be provided; or can be easily found on our Traveling Show webpage.
How it works: Booking Agents would search out and contact suitable locations they believe fit the traveling show requirements. They’d provide the basic information , and be in touch with Drawbridge to confirm that requested performance dates and times are open and available. Drawbridge will certainly be available to answer any detailed questions. No deposit is necessary to book a traveling show, and no handling of money is required for this position. If a booking results, the Agent would receive their commission following the paid performance. The amount of the commission is $75.00 per booking date. Booking Agents would be working as Independent Contractors, not as employees of the puppet theater.
No experience is necessary. You make your own hours and set your own pace. There’s no pressure, no quota. This is a wonderful financial opportunity for those who enjoy marketing.
